When I first started this blog and named it 'Darya', I knew that it felt right. I've always loved words, whatever their origin- directly related to me or not, near or far. WHAT IS DARYA?

Dear Reader,

Maybe like me, your mind races at a million thoughts per minute.

You may be quiet on the outside but it's a storm on most days inside your mind.

Sometimes pleasant, but other times not; DARYA was born out of that storm.

DARYA is a word with roots in the Persian language which means- 'limitless expanse of water', 'of the sea'.

I hope DARYA serves you, dear reader, as a curation of a multitude of imperfect flowing reflections; thoughts & musings to echo some of your own- as I steer my life out of just existing, into living.
